omg…it took me 4 minutes to open walmart.com’s index site…i’m at ten minutes total now in my quest to find out their easter hours. ya know how the tv people switched to digital and forced everyone to change over their tvs? i think the companies should force people to switch to dsl rather than dialup. /facepalm…duh it doesn’t even list special holiday hours online. oh well i guess ill find out when i show up there tomorrow. i have a headache from taking a bad nap. ya know…the kind where you wake up feeling worse than before it. i put lucas to ped at 815pm…an hour past his usual bedtime but we wanted him to be super sleepy and go right to sleep since he is in a strange place and got upset when i tried to put him to bed at 645. well i lied down on the bed while i waited on him to get settled in the packnplay and drink his bottle…and fell asleep. i woke at 10 when he randomly woke up and started crying for no reason that i could find…nightmare? as soon as i picked him up he calmed down, so i brought him into bed with me and he fell right back asleep in my arms like he used to do when he was a newborn. i held him for an hour before shifting him back to the crib. so now im up, with a headache and nothing to do but try to do stuff on this wannabe internet. i cant even get any chat programs to sign on. nor can i play farmville because i guess she doesnt have java and it’s not like you can DL anything to add or update programs ever. meh. im a grumblety grump. *drums fingers on desk* hmm what to do now. i could start a new book i brought with me, but it is a new author/series so i’m not jumping to start it. plus my head hurts a lot so i probably couldnt read anyhow. i should go downstairs and eat a bunch of brownies. the chocolate kind..not the elves.

i feel like making random comments. since they are all negative, i shall think of one good thing to counter my bitching.

1. it really annoys me when people drive slow in the left lane. how do they not notice all the cars jumping in the right lane, roaring past them and then jumping back in front of them. helllooo get a clue and get out of my way!

2. i’m so happy it’s spring and i can have my windows open. i loove how it feels and how it makes me feel better myself.

3. i’m driving behind this bigass buick grandpa type car (don’t remember the actual make) and it is called a Deville. a devil? really? that car is the furthest thing from a demon car.

4. black rubber boot on 75S, black and white Keds type sneaker on 41N, black tennis shoe in mableton atlanta…that was all wednesday

5. my baby is racing full speed ahead around the room now. he hardly ever crawls anymore

6. i’m trying to eat healthier foods after lauren had me watch Jamie Oliver. two days and counting.

7. why do they put all the good shows on mondays and thursdays and leave us with nothing to watch the other 5 days of the week

8. we had to buy my camaro a cat converter this week for $1600. what do you think it will convert my cats into?

yesterday lucas took his first steps. he did it for paul while i was out running errands and when i got home he walked from paul over to me. he only did like 3-4 steps before falling but it was a great first effort! one problem he has is he keeps trying to do a jig (he kinda bounces up and down by bending and straightening his knees) while walking which makes balance difficult. since he did the walking thing, half the time now when he crawls, he crawls on his hands and feet with his knees locked straight rather than on his knees. silly boy.

i got a new spacebar today! (for those that didn’t know, lucas yanked off my old one and broke it, so typing anything excessively long was a pain in the ass). but now it is fixed for the low cost of $6 and i can type again! i had been planning to make a new post once i had the ability to type again, but atm im eating cookies and so i need my hands. i’ll update this later

i keep hearing about pregnant people. everyone is pregnant, yay!

in the past couple of days lucas figured out how to hold his bottle up in the air in order to drink out of it sitting up. last weekend he started “cruising” meaning he will walk along something while holding on. he only takes like 3 steps tho. he’s a whiz at crawling,tho.

i went with lauren and jake to born again blessings. everything is so insanely cheap there for the secondhand stuff that you can find some really great deals. i’m a little jealous – the stuff lauren found is nicer than the stuff i got.i got a nifty little tent for lucas, but so far it’s been an animal tent.

mommy is retiring! she refinanced her home loan which gave her incredible savings that she can use to pay into her retirement fund, meaning she officially only has 3 more months of school, ever! (until i convince her to open Hogwarts, the private school i’ve decided we are gonig to run together.)

we started our first cookie booth yesterday and sold a tooon of cookies. we are going to have to order a crap ton more because we have 3-4 more booths still to do. the girls were soooo cute selling cookies. they were singing and dancing and waving posters around.

matt will be in china the next 2+ weeks, so i’ll be hanging out with Sarah a lot to keep her company.

i’ve been spending all my free time planning steph and my’s backpacking trip thru eastern europe in the fall. Prague, Budapest, Vienna, and all around the Romanian countryside. included in our plans are: horseback riding in the romanian countryside, the bone chapel outside of Prague (where the entire inside is built from human bones), a Hungarian opera, and hiking 1500 steps to Dracula’s castle.

i am currently teaching myself romanian. it’s pretty fun. i mean serious basics, but it would be so cool to have another useless language added to my repertoire. luckily for me, it is a romance language so it is similar to french making the basics easier to learn. my biggest problem is remembering to say the words with romanian pronunciation and not the french.

english: hi

french: salut (saloo)

romanian: salut (saloot)

eu nu sunt o carte. that means “i am not a book.” the first Romanian sentence i put together on my own (sorry book was the only noun id learned so far).

so im stressed because i found out that my grandpa’s service is being held friday the 19th (next friday – i dont know what time yet). since it is a friday, everyone is working, so i don’t know what to do with lucas. i’m going to try to find out tomorrow if the church has a daycare service or else i’ll just hafta have paul sit out and watch him.

so i accidentally stuck my SD camera memory card in the the CD slot instead of the proper slot right above it. it is now permanently in there apparently. i even tried sticking a metal ruler in there to fish it out but i cant. i think there must be some cd reading or holding mechanism that it is somehow caught behind. it might be easier if i knew what it looked like internally. i dont get why it is so hard to get back out. anyhow i called Dell and after 30 mins on the phone (he must get paid for how long he has a customer on the line. that or he was busy looking at porn) the guy told me it will be $200 to replace the cd drive. so instead im just going to buy a $45 external drive and a new SD card. major suckage.

yesterday i met lauren and her grandmom for lunch at ihop. i love pancakes. having to get up and go somewhere and being out made the day a lot easier to handle than when im just sitting at home doing nothing and trying not to fall asleep. afterwards i went to barnes and noble and got 3 new books, yay.

since im a horrible mother, i looked over to check on my child, and he was across the room finger painting in the cat puke

haha i was going to use this little SD card for something so i stuck it in my computer and discovered it had pictures on it! it had like 5 pix from jana’s bachelorette party in 2008 that i hadnt ever even seen before.

tonight paul and lucas and i went out to dinner at a chinese restaurant. the couple at the booth next to us just couldnt get enough of lucas. probably because he is so effing cute. he can majorly power crawl now, pull himself into a standing position without pulling up on anything, bend his knees to sit down instead of just falling over, and we tried finger foods but he didn’t like them much. in fact one of the first ones we gave him he threw at Matt at the museum at my birthday.

ive been spending a lot of time planning out the trip to europe that steph and i want to take in sept.
